Yes we at Just Tracys Crafts Towers, have decided it is time to add a few more peeps to our fabulous Design Team.

With the launch of our new look website and Card and Scrapbook kits of the month, we thought now would be a good time to give people the opportunity to be on Team Tracy.

So when is the deadline: Well we want to get as many entrants as possible so we are giving you until 10th December 2011 at 10.00 am.

What we would like you to do:

We want to see 3 new projects, covering various techniques. We would love to see entries from both cardmakers and scrapbookers alike.

We do not offer incentives or product to our DT members but would hope you would be happy to promote our online shop as much as possible. (We hope that we may be able to send out some bits and bobs or something in the future).

All winners will be notified via e-mail of our decision on the 15th December 2011 and winners would be needed to join the challenge on the 1st January.

Tutorial for you!

Hope you like the first of of an occasional Tutuorial. I have been using one of these Tissue Box Covers for quite some time and needed a new one so I thought I would share the idea with you all. Thanks to Splitcoast for the idea in the first place!

You still have plenty of time to enter our challenge this month - until 5pm on the 25th. We want to see your creations for

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

You can find all the details for the challenge and see the lovely cards from the DT here

Ok on to the Tutorial.

Box of tissues (I used a Kleenex brand)

Two 5 1/8" x 9.5" pieces of cardstock (base)

One 6 9/16" square piece of cardstock (lid)

Four 4 1/4" x 4" pieces of cardstock (base patterned layers)

Four 4 1/4" x 3/4" pieces of cardstock (lid side patterned layers)

One 4 1/4" square piece of cardstock (top patterned layer)

Scoring tool and board/bone folder for creasing the folds
Glue

Oval Cutter

Scissors or knife

Sponge and ink

1. Score the long sides of the each of the two 5 1/8" x 9 1/2" pieces of cardstock at 1/2" and 5".

2. Crease the folds and glue to form box base.

3. Score and crease the 6 9/16" square piece of cardstock at 1" along all four sides.

4. Cut the oval in the lid using an oval cutter (or draw it and cut it out) Cut each corner as shown in the photo and glue the tabs inside the lid.

5. Sponge all the edges of the box base and lid with the ink and then you are ready to decorate!

I chose some patterned papers from my stash and cut them to the sizes above, then glued them onto the box and hey presto, you have a tissue box cover!

We were amazed with the response for the last challenge and would like to thank each and everyone of you for sharing your creations with us.

We hope you all join in with us again this month. We are finally getting into the warmer months, blown away the cobwebs of the great british winters and now spring is popping up around us everywhere, with the beautiful yellow daffodils.

April is well known for its April showers, with bursting sunshine moments, and this mix always seems to bring out the gorgeous mirage of rainbows.

New Beginnings - Challenge 1

Well here we are, the first of hopefully very many post on this New Challenge Blog.

With a brand New design team, whom hopefully some of you may know already and with some New people to inspire and share with.

This all on top of the Launch of our New Stamp range at the end of this month.

How Exciting!!!

The Challenge is a Monthly Challenge, with a New challenge being posted on the 1st of every month.

All entries must be submitted before the 25th of each month prior to the new challenge, to allow us to select and post the lucky participants name on here before the new challenge.

We don't mind you combining challenges but ask that you keep it to a maximum of 6 and that your work is new.

We are getting very excited here at Just Tracys as the entries are coming in thick and fast for the design team.

Followers are getting ready for the first Challenge.

So we thought we would just let you see, our babies being released soon. There are a fair few designs drawn and awaiting, turning them into yummy clear stamps is so exciting too!

The week we were introduced to our cuties, and deciding on a name, a royal couple announced their engagement.

So the names seemed like fate, we would like to introduce to you our "William and Kate".

We are launching a brand new Challenge blog.

All entries for the design team have to be e-mailed to us by 5.15pm on Friday 18th February 2011, we will notify the successful applicants via return e-mail by Monday 21st February along with the details for the first challenge, which will begin on 1st March 2011.

So we would like to see three cards from each DT hopeful, showing three different occasions and at least two different techniques. Please send your e-mails too justtracys@hotmail.co.uk.

You must also be actively updating a blog on a regular basis and be prepared to leave a comment on each contributors entry, every week on their blogs.
